5 m3 containing
the temporary office
of the Belgian Institute
of Graphic Design
This presentation shows a fictional office of the Institute under construction. For one year, we occupied the showcase in Rivoli with four different exhibitions, each one being a starting point for research into an underexplored topic in the history of Belgian graphic design. Furthermore, we presented in showcases and display windows all over Belgium to bring out graphic design in its natural habitat: on the street, among the people.
This final display is a reflection of our departure and our nomadic existence as a satellite organization. The contents are stuffed with cardboard boxes covered with the Satori Tape designed by Studio Specht. Five cubic metres in Belgium in honour of graphic design.
This exhibition took place thanks to the art gallery Rossicontemporary.
